Meesni is a story that revolves around Sahira, played by Maham Shahid, a young, beautiful but cunning girl who leaves no stone unturned to get what she wants. She has always deceived people including her own family by constantly lying to them. She manipulates people for her personal gains. She uses all malicious ways to get whatever she lacks through different ploys. HUM TV presents the drama Meesni as a story of greed, deception and repercussions. Featuring the versatile Sharmeen Kashif, Bilal Qureshi, Maham Shahid in lead roles, the serial sheds light on malicious motives of people for greed and complexes. Repercussions of blind trust and effects on generations to come.

Produced under the banners of Momina Duraid Productions, the serial is written by Muahmmad Asif and directed by Sikandar Ali. The talented cast of the show includes, Sharmeen Kashif, Bilal Qureshi, Maham Shahid, Faiza Gillani, Najiba Faiz, Faiq Khan, Arsalan Asad Butt, Laila Zuberi, Sikandar Nawaz Rajput, Ahmad Taha Ghani.

Drama’s stride is shifted to the decades later era, where Sahira now has her own daughters Saliha, Haniya and Zoya, among which the eldest one turns out to be an exact shadow of Sahira who gives her the taste of her own medicine. Haniya on the other hand, grows up to be the exact opposite of her mother and sister. The story continues to convolute when they all grow up, and their life starts to intertwine with each other again.

The intention to depict the journey of a covetous person like Sahira is to stipulate the awareness around the phenomenon, that when you continue to extrapolate your ambitions at the cost of other’s lives and emotions, the damage that is done is irreversible and somehow comes back to you in mutated and multiplied. The idea is to noticeably present all the repercussions and actions of people driven by greed and gluttony, before the audience for cathartic purposes and to analyze the harm it can potentially cause.

After reaching a certain age and being through countless situations where she could have altered her ways, Sahira appears to be unbothered by any calamity plunged her way.
